Champlain Township is known for its strong agricultural base, industrial and entrepreneurial activity but its many festivals and special events make it a “go-to” place for all kinds of reasons! Vankleek Hill is the proud “Gingerbread Capital of Ontario”, so named because of its many stately homes all boasting intricate wooden decorations called “gingerbread”. In nearby L’Orignal, the Ottawa River waterfront and marina beckon.

The present-day ward of Vankleek Hill will surprise visitors with its intriguing mix of things to taste and things to do. Enjoy a meal at one of the town’s many distinctive restaurants and we invite you to visit the Farmers’ Market each Saturday.
